Chapter Twenty first:

The night was short and in only a matter of minutes the dawns warrior broke in. Scattering the shades of night until night gave in and dawn proceeded with the task it daily wins. For the girl who had been thinking that the night was short the night had been delightful. She woke up with a sweet trace of smile over her face and saw the side of Ben empty. She rushed and changed then hurried to the kitchen. Ben was making breakfast.
''Hello, morning.'' Ben faked a smile. ''Morning. You don't have to make breakfast. Let me do it.'' she quickly gathered her scattered hair in a bun. Came in the kitchen to make the breakfast. ''I insist.'' Ben did not gave her the pan. ''Really I insist.'' Ben was serious. She gave in and sat on one of the two stools situated near the counter.
She watched him silently cooking. She was delighted today. It was months after the demise of her father that she was happy. It was not that Ben was the first guy in her life but he was above the ones he had met. Educated, decent, handsome, wealthy, cultured and the list was not ending in her mind till the plate's crank ended it. ''Thank you.'' she said. Ben did not reply. He sat silently next to her and began eating. ''What's with the silence?'' Jenny finally said. She could no longer remain silent.
''Jenny. I....'' he was taking his time and Jenny was waiting for him to say.
''Whatever happened last night I'm sorry. I had no right I think I took advantage of your state. You were drunk and I should have.'' he left the word. Jenny who's glowing face turned red all of a sudden got up. She began to gather her things. Ben got up and tried to hold her hands. ''Jenny. Jenny.'' he tried to hold her. ''Leave me.'' she shouted. ''What do you think of yourself. All women are not like the ones you make out with. Listen to me I am not a cheap woman who would like to be with you for the night and listen to your awful regret the other morning. You are shit. Don't show me your face again.'' she slammed the door on his face. He stood there like an idiot.
He really was an idiot and he deserved whatever Jenny said to him. He had no right to be with a girl like Jenny.

He tried to call her but she did not answer. He tried to address her at work but she ignored. She finished her work and dropped and envelope of resignation on his desk.
''Hello Jenny. Where are you. We are waiting here for you and Ben.'' Tina called her and was worried about them.
''Hello Christina , I will come but I know nothing about Ben. You can talk to him yourself.''
''Did you both had a fight?'' ''Kind of.'' she remained silent. ''Well come I 'll send you the location. I'm getting married tomorrow and you both are fighting like children. Did the idea worked?'' Tina sounded mischievous.
''It worked fine but he is full of shit. He cannot handle a good moment easily.'' Jenny obeyed Tina's idea of the scene of last night. Although being drunk was not her idea.
''Come I'm waiting. As far as Ben is concerned I will take care of him myself.''  Tina ended the call and turned to Rachel who was lost in memories.
They were standing near the beach. The cloudy atmosphere was adding thrill to the scene. The winds were cold. Taylor and Christina were walking near the waves and now they were standing behind Rachel who was sitting on the sand.
''Mom I loved the place and the suspense you were keeping for it was really worth the wait.'' Tina pressed her shoulders. ''I couldn't have imagined a better side mom.'' Taylor glued his eyes on the horizon. Where seagulls were taking flights.
''This is where me and your dad got married. He his family was like my family too. I had no parents. His family was always my family. This is why I wanted you both to be married here.'' Rachel wiped a tear from eye. ''Mom, don't be emotional.'' Tina hugged her.
Jenny approached and hugged Christina. ''Mom this is Jenny, Ben's girlfriend.'' Hello Jenny.'' ''Hello Jenny.'' Taylor greeted her. In some minutes Ben arrived. It was quite a family gathering near the beach.
He tried to talk to Jenny but Tina took her to the other side and Taylor was left with Ben alone.
''Did something happen?'' Taylor scratched his chin.
''Yes. Now they are punishing me. Women.'' he sighed.
''Yeah my friend women. Never disagree with them even if you are damn sure that they are wrong.''
Tina and Jenny were chatting as if they were remixed and then they both came to Rachel.
''Mom lets get going.'' Taylor approached them with Ben following.
''Wait. We will go alone you and Ben can go together.'' Tina stopped him with her hand.
''Why?'' Taylor was confused.
''Son have a little break. Girl needs her mother. After all you are getting married tomorrow.'' Rachel brushed the sand from her clothes.
''Very well. Come on Ben. Don't mind if we party a little.'' he yelled at Tina's back.
''It means girls.'' he was disappointed that Tina paid him no attention.
''Have fun.'' she said with a glittering smile. Taylor turned to his car sad.
''Reconsider marriage my friend.'' Ben said to him.

It was a sweet day. In fact everyday is sweet filled with charms and the song of the birds its our own joy that makes the days special or worse. It was a storm in Christina's house. Everyone was finding their good suits and shoes. The flowers had flooded the house. Cakes were being moved from place to place. Lights were not working and this had caused a chaos. Rachel who was still busy with the decorations had no time at all. Christina was dressing herself in her room and was locked in it from the past five hours. Jenny was banging the door.
''Christina Ben has been calling they all are there waiting. How long it will take for you to dress yourself. That's a limit. ''
''I'm getting married for the first time. It will take some more minutes.''
Rachel came hurried towards Jenny. She had dressed well and was holding one piece of earring in her hand, ''Girls hurry I'm taking out the car.'' she said clipping the back of the earring in her ear.
''I will be there if the princess snow white comes out in this day.''
''I'm ready.'' she popped out of the door.
Her dress was all frilled and covered all the way back to her bed. It was glittering with the stones of silver. Her chain hung over the v neck and quarter sleeves were covered with lace.
She really was looking like a princess of tales.
''Ah, you really did make good use of time I appreciate it.''
''Come on Mom is waiting lets go.''

On small pillars white cloths were tied and canopy's were glittering. The evening sky was drawing shades of pink and orange and round lights were beaming as if on an island. The guests were all arranged nicely and properly on two separate aisles. The truth was the only family and the most predominant guests were Ben, Jenny, Dylan, and nanah. The rest were Ben and Tina's friends from college and the other half were the employees of Taylor. Taylor had no one except Tina. He already had declared her and her mother as his family but tonight she would achieve a special status with him as his wife. As his all as his entire.
Dylan was walking Christina down the aisle. It was decided when Rachel went to his home to invite him at Tina's wedding. Ben was with her.
''Don't Rachel. You are our family. Without you and Christina Ben wouldn't have been easy for me. You know how hard it is to raise a child without his mother.'' he sighed for a moment.
''May I ask you something?'' he said looking at Rachel. Rachel and Ben looked at each other with amusement. ''Go on Dylan I'm listening.''
''I want to walk Tina down the aisle. She's the daughter I never had but always wanted. Would you permit me?''.
''Of course I would.'' they hugged each other.
Jenny was standing at the staged level behind where flowers were decorated. Orchids and the sun's orange beams were giving the glass lamps  a shade of pink. Flowing water's slow waves were creating a soft smooth sound. Ben who was standing aside Taylor. His best man peaked at Jenny with regret in his eyes. Jenny felt nervous when she caught his gaze. The bride and groom were married. The celebrations began.
''Come on girls, Tina is about to toss her bouquet.'' a girl came and took some other girls with her.
Ben who was standing in a circle of his friends with whom he was not in touch since he left college just wanted to talk with Jenny. What days they were the days of college. He had no responsibility over him and all he and Tina used to do was enjoy themselves. No one would barge in between them. Everything was so great until the time of their graduation. Ben came out of his thoughts when Jenny stood next to him.
A girl came and took her from the hand. ''No wait I don't believe in all this stuff.'' she tried to escape her clutch but in vane. On the corner Tina was standing with her back towards the girls and Taylor covered her eyes with his hand. ''Ready.'' she shouted and a chanting chorus sound replied, ''we are ready.'' Taylor whispered in Tina's ears, ''I haven't seen so desperate women in my life.'' ''See now then.'' she tossed the bouquet over and the bouquet had landed to its place. Tina turned around to see the next possible bride. Only to be shocked.
It was Jenny.
