''Thanks Nanah. I'll just be off I'm getting very late thanks and bye.'' Tina rushed to her car while biting the sandwich she grabbed from her plate. She used to call Karen Nanah. Karen loved that. Dressed in casual top of striped print a collar shirt and a denim skinny jeans with her hair pulled back in a fine ponytail. She was glittering. She was a girl who would shine in every outfit. A broad forehead, shiny deep brown eyes, glowing face and a medium height and her hair were till her shoulders. Where ever she would go it would have been impossible to ignore her. Her phone rang and it was Ben,''Where are you Tina we are waiting here you want us to lose our last presentation?''. ''Look behind you dummy.'' She was coming with piles of multiple showcases and her laptop hanging on her shoulder.''You should help me out don't you think Ben!''. ''Yeah sure here give me these and lets get going. We should not give them any chance to spot our disappearance.'' ''Yeah lets go."
''This is your presentation? What is it exactly Mr Brown and Miss Harris?'' their teacher Sir Adam the loving personality and always up to jokes could not understand what he was looking at. ''A pile of mud covered with trees and barely something like a sort of a road.'' Adam smiled.
''No sir it's a mountain.'' Ben explained.
''Oh I see a mountain and this would be your personal pool?''
''No sir this is a river.'' this time Tina said proudly.
''Very well I'll give you guys a C on this assignment although I really had higher hopes. The project was to describe the effects of global warming on nature. But this hardly shows any effect but seems a happy nature with whatever trouble we've caused it, it seems happy.'' everyone laughed.
''Sir do you really think I would bring this crap to the final day of our university? No sir this was just a prank to brighten your mood actually this is a draft that I and Ben played with last night. Here's the true assignment.'' Tina and Ben unveiled another covered project.
''My goodness you two really got me in here didn't you. A+ congratulations you two you both have won the assignment in first position and second position goes to group B and third to group E. The rest of you can go and collect your coronation dresses. Tomorrow is the big day good luck to you all and you Christina and Benjamin I will miss you both.''
''We too Sir Adam you were the best teacher we ever had.''
Life was a great trip for them as they both lived it the way they wanted to. Everything was all there in the company of Ben and Tina. They had such an imitating friendship that people would envy them.
Not only this sometimes Ben's girlfriends a long list, would always be jealous of how he held her in a special position even more than the girl she hangs out with. A girl and boy's friendship is indeed a rare thing. Like the Agave ocahui that would bloom once in a hundred years. Its not even that seldom but one with clean spirit and a sparkling heart is like the Agave ocahui. Which is rare and charming.
Their families were never acquainted like family friends are. Ray and Rachel had a world of their own and their lives were either reserved by their passionate careers, or their passionate love which never aged. Tina was a branch of their love tree and the rest of their lives were taking care and loving this gift God had bestowed upon them. She was loved and adored. That much which made her a little stubborn but she never was a bad girl. She was a true gifted daughter. A daughter who was a pride for her parents.
Ben was a lonely fellow. He had prodigal habits which were his hideouts from the reality of an absence of family's contentment he never felt and no one made him realize that there were two people who brought him in to this world and really cared for him. Instead he was always invited by an answering machine telling him about his father's whereabouts and his current occupation. Exceeding wealth and a tremendous house cannot make a lonely soul happy. He can buy a few hours of it but that would be bought and he longed for something which wealth can have no share in.
His
thirst of love was quenched with Rachel and Christina. They met each
other for the first time in Paris and then in California. From the age
of 5 till the age of 28 they had been inseparable. Their relationship
was confusing to Ben's girlfriends and Tina's ex boyfriend whom she left
only because he had said something about Ben. The people around them
could not understand them. Their relationship seemed as if they both
were completely made for each other yet they were completely platonic.
Sparks were present in both of them, they adored each other to off
limits yet they never looked at each other or thought about each other
in any different way.
