Finale Part One
A
large canopy of white with gold colored lights glittered like a mirage
from a distance. In the front a cosmic fire pit was burning wood. The
orange light of flame giving glimpse of yellow and blue roared like a
dragon and it's silhouette resembled one also. It was intensely
luminous. It was as if all the lights were used in this one canopy.
Christina
was gifted a special dress for the evening. A red gown. A gown which
scattered back and was of full length. With a deep neck and sleeves
less. It was crafted with beads and embellishments. Embellishments as
such as diamonds which sparkled when Tina looked at herself after
wearing it in the full mirror. She adorned it with a pink diamond set
that was so heavy it covered all her neck.
She was about to tie her hair when Ben appeared.
''Don't. Leave it the way it is you know how I always prefer it?'' he kissed her on her neck.
''Don't you think I look like a jewellery shop I have never worn this much heavy jewellery.'' she turned to him.
''I
would prefer you in your lounge wear just even in your t shirt and
pajamas you are special to me. I don't want any of this but then I
thought, what could you gift someone who is so so so goddamn special.''
he kissed her and they both laughed.
''So you gave me the jewellery shop.'' she laughed.
''I can handle it for an hour so but don't expect more from me.''
They walked hand in hand in front of their glass house's orchard where the massive surprise awaited them.
''Gosh
my my Ben is this what always comes in your mind?'' Tina smiled and
looked at the setup. The amazing setup showing mastery of any kind of
setup or party she had ever seen.
''Everything
is so luminous so incredible.'' she said looking up the canopy. The
canopy had mirrors on it's sides. Everywhere and Tina was able to see
her in every one of them.
''No
matter what ever I thought of or did everything seemed so lowly when I
had you in mind. He brought her close. So close that they both closed
their eyes and remained silent. Only the sound of their breaths could be
heard by them.
''It's like a fairy tale Ben. A fairy tale.''
''Promise me you'll always glitter like this.'' Ben said holding her close.
''I promise I'll always be like this just always stay close to me. So near that I hear you breathe and nothing else. ''
''I do with all my heart.'' he smiled and became hysterical.
Tina too cried and kissed him. With all herself. With all her love. With all her being.
2 years ago........
'The night of Tina's anniversary. It's so hard for me to smile when my heart is burnt. If only I had been more attentive I would've never let Taylor marry her. Then what is his fault? None, he is loved by Tina and he loves her I have no right to become a wall between them. Remember what your mother said to you and give up these ideas. You have Jenny but I don't love her. She's just a friend. This ring and all it's nonsense is all because Tina wanted it. I never gave it a thought and why would I? I still am Tina's with all my heart. My heart was hers from the very beginning it always belonged to her. All those women of my life were just a hideout of mine from the truth that would hurt me the most.
Now I must get dressed Jenny would be here any moment and I have to take the presents to Tina and I must not forget that I have to take Jenny to the theater tonight. If I don't what would she think of me? That I am not the man of my words that I am not eligible enough to take her responsibility. The truth is I am not ready for all this but if Tins want it then I'll do it. I never had such a so called do that and do this relationship with a woman before. They were okay just to party and forget them the next day but this is serious. I can not keep on hurting Jenny again and again when she was and is the only one who took care of me when I was at the verge of losing myself forever.
I took Jenny and now we are about to reach Tina's home.

Now I must get dressed Jenny would be here any moment and I have to take the presents to Tina and I must not forget that I have to take Jenny to the theater tonight. If I don't what would she think of me? That I am not the man of my words that I am not eligible enough to take her responsibility. The truth is I am not ready for all this but if Tins want it then I'll do it. I never had such a so called do that and do this relationship with a woman before. They were okay just to party and forget them the next day but this is serious. I can not keep on hurting Jenny again and again when she was and is the only one who took care of me when I was at the verge of losing myself forever.
I took Jenny and now we are about to reach Tina's home.
The weather is heavy just like my heart and as if rain is contributing with my sorrows.
I sent Jenny in and I am taking all the boxes inside. ''Hello to all of you.'' she said and smiled. I kept on looking at her like an idiot. She was simple right now but there was nothing more beautiful than this look of hers. I had to curse myself to bring my senses back. Taylor comes and they both sit together and after a while we all sit together. Rachel was with Liz. It was raining too much. It started with slight spell until it turned into a thunderstorm. Something was wrong today I felt it since the morning. As though the weather too was connected to this feeling somehow. What? I do not know but the feeling deep down inside tells me that something is surely strange about today. It was 5 now and the decorations were all complete. They had plans for an outdoor party but it was cancelled due to the weather's condition. Tina and Taylor went inside and I took a leave and went outside with Jenny. She remained silent all the way to theater. I wanted her to say something if not anything then at least she should praise me for taking care of her favorite things. I never had a taste for theater in fact I loathed theater more than anything. I was more of a movie fan than the lame theaters. Who could watch a boring play for three hours continuously without falling asleep in the middle of it? ''I never believe it even though we are going to the theater but I still feel something will happen and you'll have to leave.'' she said but it was more logical than the praise I was expecting from her. She was right , I too had a feeling that I could not sit for more than five minutes in the theater. If it was to be thought who would see a stupid play on the night of an anniversary celebration? This was the basic problem with my and Jennifer's relationship, time connected us but we were the exact opposites.
I took out an umbrella and both of us walked inside the theater. The hall was filled and only our vacant places were empty. The play began,
''Prince Siegfried is on an hunting when he encounters a flock of swans, and falls for the queen swan, they dance and dance and there's waltz
then they both fall in love.''
My phone rings it's dad, I take a leave from Jenny and come outside where I hear that dad had an heart attack. I was just calling Jenny when a man in hood attacks over my head. The world turns black all of a sudden and I feel water over my body my hands are dipped entirely in water. I opened my eyes and looked around I was not blind I could see everything, I was lying in a puddle of water and the hood was standing right in front of me. He didn't attack me, he could have just did it if he wanted to kill me but instead he waited for me to get up. As I got up he ran and I followed him. We were running after one another like crazy with the rain covering us from all sides. I turned towards left where the guy vanished. It was crossroads and there were few cars parked. I heard the sound of a engine's start. It was a truck a heavy one I sensed from it's sound just then lights flashed and I sensed that the truck was aimed at me. I stayed there for a while numb as if my life was already taken away from me and only my lifeless body stood there only one more sec and this thing would crush me beneath it. Just then I ran, I don't know how what miracle did rain had that it gave me my life back. If I had waited one moment more I would've died today. I saw the truck crash in one of the car that was parked outside the jewellery shop. Few people began to surround the site. The driver ran away and left the truck there just like that. The car's sirens echoed back towards me and I went near the car. Oh my goodness hell what hell is brought down upon me, I really had a negative feeling about today that something was strange about today. It was Taylor's car and he was inside it. Everything happened so rapidly that neither could I do anything neither could he, otherwise he could've gotten out of the car if only we had enough time. The truck's break couldn't work at that time otherwise the truck was aimed for my life it had nothing to do with Taylor. I suspected it that moment when the hood led me here, he definitely didn't want my death to look like a murder instead he wanted it to look like an accident. I tried to take him out of the car wreck but the door was jammed. I kicked it multiple times and found smoke inside It was dark and due to smoke I couldn't see anything except for a sound of moan, that meant Taylor was alive I took him out and he was alive, thank goodness he was alive. Alive? but why should he be alive you idiot? You again are about to lose the chance that life has provided you that easily that you won't be suspected of anything. Just don't call the ambulance now wait for a few more minutes and then do it. I heard the devil in me and looked around. There were only two or three people and they were far. I looked at Taylor who was bleeding badly. His breath sank every moment. I sat near him and heard him panting, struggling to breathe. He had no voice left in him but he still whispered something which I heard as I was too close to him at that moment. ''Help.'' but I didn't do anything for the next few minutes until I saw him faint. ''Ambulance someone call an ambulance.'' the rain made it harder for the faraway people to sight my delay in calling an ambulance. I tried to wake him up. He did come back, opened his eyes and looked at me in a way that I'll never forget. As if he said to me which will always haunt me, ''You can never have her. Benjamin. You can never have her.''

Carla was cooking in her small kitchen. Victor was helping her with dishes. She arranged a good table for two and they both sat down to have their dinner. Their lives were peaceful now. Victor had retired from his crime life and thanks to Ben that his police record was clear. Carla who used to be so arrogant was now changed completely as the life she always wanted was now hers. Although it was late but they finally had each other.
''Who could believe that one day you and I would be together like this.'' Victor said taking a bite of the baked chicken.
''All thanks to Ben that he gave us enough to settle down and afford ourselves without getting into crime once again.'' Carla took a sip of wine.
''I always wanted to ask you one think.'' Carla looked at Victor.
''When I told you to kill Ben you didn't why?''
He remained quiet for a moment looked out from the window which was close to his chair and then began, ''I just couldn't. I led him to the truck which would crush him although I could do that just right outside the theater but I just couldn't.''
''What truck you never told me about it. ''
''Seth my partner who used to smuggle with me I gave him the task to make it look like an accident so I would have a clear record. Those people that I killed before were all named after my boss I just wanted to be clean.'' Victor sighed and Carla got up shocked.
''The truck that crushed Taylor's car oh my. Did you see he died at the moment?''
''No I ran before that and Seth did too we don't know what happened to him. May he rest in peace and may we be happy too can we enjoy now and forget whatever happened this is us and today is what really matters.'' Victor got up played music and took Carla's hand and they began to dance.
