It was a busy morning. Rachel was coming home this afternoon. Tina and Ben were on the airport to receive her. Taylor couldn't come due to his work's endless responsibilities but he was invited to family dinner. To which he could never disagree.

Rachel waved to them when she was visible to both of them. 

''Rachel. I've missed you so much.'' Ben hugged her tight.

''I've missed you too Ben.'' Rachel then turned to Tina.

''I'm sure you haven't missed me that much.'' she hugged her.

''Mom. Is this ever possible?'' Tina hugged her tight.

Then they moved to the car.

When they came back home Karen was busy in preparing a family dinner and she had arranged everything perfectly. Karen welcomed Rachel back home.

''It's good to have you back Ma'am.'' Karen said to her.

''Thank you Karen. I hope Tina didn't misbehave.'' Rachel removed her shoes and sat on the sofa.

''Not at all.'' Karen then went into the kitchen.

Ben's phone was ringing and the number was not known to him. He received the call and it was Jennifer.

''I have the signed decree now where can I visit you Mr.Brown?'' she said in a very strict tone.

''You wait outside my office, I'll be there.'' he said and then turned to Rachel and Tina who were busy in a conversation of their own.

''Tina, Rachel I have to go.'' he kissed Rachel on the cheek and then began to hurry.

''Don't forget about the dinner.'' Tina shouted .

''Won't.'' Ben shouted back.

Taylor was very busy. He had to manage everything by himself now as Tina was absent from her work. Since the day she joined his company. He had been benefiting from her work and her presence. Today was an awful day to manage on his own for him. Then he had to reach Tina's home at 8 sharp. He had to finish all his work before that. One of his worker came inside and told him he has to go on this urgent trip tomorrow.

''Okay. Book me two tickets for 7 in the morning. Thank you.'' Taylor said to the person.

Ben hurried to his office and then came to his secretary,

''Miss Hudson, send her in.'' then he went inside the office and closed the door behind.

After some minutes Jennifer came inside and placed the signed piece of paper on his desk.

''Here.'' Jennifer looked at him. There was so much anger in her eyes.

After reading it thoroughly Ben asked her: 

''Why are you selling such a nice apartment?'' Ben looked at her.

''I need money and as you said before you'll process this in an hour.'' Jennifer was straight in her speech.

Ben opened his drawer and took out his checkbook. Then he signed a check for fifteen million and handed it over to Jennifer. 

Jennifer took the check and took out the papers of the apartment and handed them over to Ben. Ben looked at the documents and then he thought of something.

''You can buy this apartment back if you want.'' Ben said to Jennifer who had reached the door.

''I'm not that fortunate Mr. Brown and thank you for your help.'' she looked at him and then left.

Dylan came in and asked Ben:

''Who's the girl Ben?'' Dylan then took the file and read it.

''Oh, I see. Its her.'' he closed the file and placed it back on the table.

Ben was curious. His own father knew everything and he was the one unaware. It was his own decision. He ran from work and a civilized human life, all he desired was liquor and a girl. Whomever she may be that was never his concern and the next day he would be normal again just until the sun shined and just as it was dusk he was back.

It was only that the accident changed his life and he had been holding himself back from his inferior life and self. It was only one person who came for his help. That one person who kept his secret and his strict father was still unaware of it was only because of that one person. That one person who's pity made him change his self and clean out his darker self. That one face who's appearance was the delight of his heart. The most important woman of his life. It was she who held his hand for the first time and brought him into her life. Since that day till today she kept that promise. Christina was the most important woman of his life. It was her pity that made him revert from his ill doings.

Ben was really confused why Jennifer sold the apartment and why in such a hurry?

He couldn't let go of this thought but to ask from his father what was really the matter and who was she? How did his father knew her?

''Who is she dad? You know how much she has troubled me in the past few days and how much she has been screaming around.'' Ben was now facing his father.

''She works in real estate. She's a good girl. Her father is ill and hospitalized and she needs money for his insurance. This is the reason she sold the apartment.'' Dylan told him all that he knew and all that Jennifer had told him.

''Bye the way dear son. You have bought the apartment on extra rates. Which is not profitable but I appreciate that you helped her. Without wounding her integrity. I'm proud of you.'' Dylan hugged his son who was too being emotional. Then he received a call. It was Tina and she was texting him reminding him of the dinner.

''Dad, I must leave now. Its Tina she has invited me to dinner.'' Ben was collecting his things. 

''Sure. just have dinner with us sometimes too.'' Dylan looked at him and Ben smiled back.

 

Taylor was sitting beside Tina and Ben besides Rachel. Ben was although lost in his own thoughts. Whenever there was a topic of discussion he would look at them as if he's been absent all the time. Rachel however was looking at Ben as if she was aware of his lost thoughts.

Then she changed the subject.

''Is my daughter troubling you Taylor?'' she said.

''She's such a blessing. She's been so much help to me that today I was founding it difficult to manage my own work without her.'' he smirked at Tina.

''Ben is the new Christopher Columbus I believe.'' Tina taunted him.

''Me, I'm just trying to manage my own work. I cannot live a life without one. A poor guy needs to make his ends meet.'' he joked instead.

''I must say, the food of your house is incomparable Rachel.'' Taylor complimented the food

Then they finished dinner. Ben went and Tina was walking outside with Taylor. Rachel although wanted to talk to Ben in private but it wasn't suitable for her to talk to him right now. What would Taylor think. Then Rachel glanced outside her lounge's window and saw the two love birds hand in hand smiling to each other. It was as if she used to look and Ray. It was like looking over her own love story again. She smiled at them and then adjusted the curtain right and began to clean the dinner's leftovers.

Tina came in and locked the door and then she saw her mother cleaning.

''Mom you must be tired. Go have rest and I'll do all this by myself.'' Tina took the dishes from her.

Rachel looked at her then she cupped her face in her hands and kissed her on the forehead.

''You really have grown up. My little princess.''she said to her and Tina smiled to her and hugged her.

''Karen is too old to work I think. We should think something about her.'' Rachel said collecting the dishes.

''What is there to worry about. She can retire and we'll support her. She has served us a lifetime.'' Tina said arranging the plates in dishwasher.

''She will never accept that honey.''Rachel said switching of the garden's lights.

''Why? this is like a gratitude sum for the relationship we have with her. She's like family.'' Tina was cleaning the sink.

''I talked her over about this a month ago. You know what she said?'' Rachel was adjusting the curtains.

Tina had no idea.

''She said that she will serve your children as well.'' Rachel came across the counter and looked at Tina for response.

She laughed. 

''This isn't happening that early, mom.'' Tina now took out the plates and dried them.

''Why not? I was your age when I got married. Taylor loves you, You love him. Voila.'' Rachel was being a typical mother and Tina hated this kind of conversation. Damn she was young for marriage. Way too young. She just met a nice guy. Yes she loved him but it had only been a couple of months since they first met. Too early. She had to establish herself as a prominent individual in Taylor's work. Although she was successful at that already and Taylor was praising her work. Even then these decisions are made by maturity and time both of these she lacked.

 ''Yes mom but we need time. You can't marry someone right away.'' Tina had finished her work and she said,

''Goodnight Mom.''

''Goodnight.'' Rachel switched off the light and went to her bedroom.

Tina went upstairs and saw the text on her phone it was Taylor,

''Be ready at 5. We have to leave early.'' 

Tina replied an okay to him and lay down on her bed. She was tired and it was eleven already.

Her life had changed completely from the previous two months. She was a careless girl. How she and Ben used to spend considerably great time together and now they see each others faces after days and days. This is what becomes of a human when he grows up, then it was better never to grow up.

Taylor came and everything else faded.

He came and filled the voids and that was it.

It...... was the new way of life.
